Security Guard — Part Time (25 – 29 hours per week)
Join in on the excitement of our Exhibitions and Art Programming in downtown Santa Barbara within the newly renovated Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Security Guards wanted and welcome at $17.50/hour for a part-time regular schedule, with opportunities to work on weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
Duties include patrolling the Museum to prevent theft, damage and injuries, monitoring and reporting any security or safety irregularities, and providing information to visitors. The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance and effective communication and customer service skills. Some security or law enforcement experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
Part-time status is eligible for a regular schedule of 20 or more hours/week including pay for 15 prorated vacation days, up to 40 hours paid sick and safe leave, 13 plus holidays, 403b retirement savings plan with a 100% employer match of up to 5% of earnings (after a year's service), SB Bikestop private bicycle storage membership, and more, all while working in beautiful Downtown Santa Barbara in the heart of the Arts District.
- Up to 29 hours/week regular schedule Compensation: $18.38/hour
- Successful Background Check and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required.
