The Plumber designs, redesigns and assembles from working drawings and blueprints various systems including water, steam, sanitary and storm drains, irrigation and sprinkler systems, compressed air, and related components. Duties include performing welding, soldering, brazing, installing and repairing plumbing fixtures, air compressors, pumps, steam and hot water boilers.
Responsibilities- Design and assemble plumbing systems based on working drawings and blueprints, ensuring compliance with building and safety codes.
- Perform pipe sizing and fitting calculations for pressure and flow requirements.
- Execute welding, soldering and brazing as required.
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures, air compressors, pumps, steam and hot water boilers.
- Inspect, install, and repair piping for air compressors, pumps, and related equipment.
- Route sewers as required and instruct or lead skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled assistants.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of journeyman-level experience.
- Must be able to take night and weekend call-backs; days and hours may vary based on operational needs.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a compliant driving record; enrollment in the California Employer Pull Notice Program may be required.
- Must pass a satisfactory criminal history background check.
