Our South Bay client is seeking a hands‑on Cost Accounting Manager to support global product costing and inventory oversight within a publicly traded, SOX‑compliant environment. This individual contributor role partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, FP&A, and third‑party contract manufacturers to ensure cost accuracy and margin visibility.

• Oversee standard costing and maintain cost integrity across global entities.
• Review BOM structures, cost roll‑ups, and contract manufacturer quotes.
• Analyze PPV, cost variances, and margin drivers.
• Manage cost‑related journal entries (rebates, overhead, warranty, E&O, tariffs, freight).
• Support inventory valuation, open PO accruals, and third‑party inventory accounting.
• Prepare cost roll‑forwards, variance reporting, and audit/SOX documentation.
• Serve as the primary accounting partner to Supply Chain and Operations.

• 5–7+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in a public, SOX‑compliant company.
• Strong expertise in standard costing, BOMs, and global contract manufacturing models.
• Hands‑on SAP and/or Net Suite experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
