We are seeking a Payroll Data Entry Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is primarily focused on high-volume data entry in support of payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have strong 10-key skills, excellent accuracy, and experience handling employee data in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with union payroll is a plus, as this team supports multiple union groups. This is a fully onsite position with an early start time of 6:30 a.m. or 7:00 a.m.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform high-volume data entry with speed and accuracy in support of payroll processing
+ Enter new hire and onboarding information into the payroll system
+ Maintain and update employee payroll records and other related data
+ Review entered information for completeness and accuracy
+ Assist with payroll-related documentation and help organize records for audits
+ Support the team with certified payroll processes; training can be provided
+ Work with payroll and internal teams to resolve data discrepancies as needed
+ Meet daily and weekly deadlines in a high-volume environment supporting approximately 500 employees per person
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ Prior experience in data entry, payroll support, or administrative support
+ Strong 10-key data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
+ Ability to work in a high-volume environment with tight deadlines
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately
+ Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work an early morning schedule
+ Ability to work fully onsite; this role is not remote
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience supporting payroll processes
+ Union payroll experience preferred
+ Exposure to employee onboarding or new hire data entry
+ Experience assisting with audit preparation or payroll documentation
+ Familiarity with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
