Role overviewOur client is seeking an Operations Lead to own and grow relationships between distribution partners (agents, agencies) and managing carriers within a fast‑growing travel Insurtech organization. This role is accountable for executing and continuously improving a scalable external partner operating model across onboarding, documentation handoffs, communications, escalations, and feedback loops—so partner work is consistent, fast, and not dependent on individual people.
This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role for someone proactive, decisive, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple stakeholder relationships. You’ll work closely with internal teams (Operations, Support, Sales/Marketing, Product, and Implementation) and external partners to ensure carrier launches, product/plan updates, and agent onboarding run smoothly—without requiring executive involvement for everyday decisions.
- Ability to communicate clearly across email, meetings, and in‑person settings, and to produce high‑quality playbooks, guides, and partner‑facing documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management; able to influence without authority internally and externally.
- Sound judgment: able to summarize risks, tradeoffs, and decisions when escalating is needed.
- Ownership mindset and bias for action; comfortable operating under ambiguity and iterating toward scalable processes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent tasks and competing priorities in fast‑paced environments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly organized professionals with strong workflow management skills, capable of executing assignments efficiently and delivering high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
- 4–6 years of professional experience in operations, account management, partnerships, implementation operations, or similar cross‑functional roles involving external partners.
- Experience working with agents, carriers, or other regulated partners (insurance or Insurtech environment preferred).
- Proven exposure to structured onboarding processes, partner lifecycle management, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong execution mindset with ability to work independently.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented, and relationship‑driven approach.
- Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience.
- Hands‑on experience using CRM platforms such as Hub Spot (or similar systems) for tracking communications, KPIs, and partner activity.
- Experience building dashboards, tracking performance metrics, and driving process improvements based on data.
- Insurance/Insurtech experience strongly preferred, active insurance license a plus.
