Description

Market Manager - South Bay

Steelcase | Full-Time | 4 days per week in office

Steelcase is hiring a Market Manager to lead sales efforts in the South Bay market and strengthen our partnership with our primary dealer partner. This role is highly relationship driven and focused on building market presence, driving demand, and helping dealer teams win more business.

What You'll Do

  • Sales Leadership & Dealer Partnership
  • Lead selling efforts with the assigned dealer to achieve Steelcase revenue targets
  • Build trust-based relationships with dealer sales teams, designers, and leadership
  • Act as the primary Steelcase liaison to ensure alignment and shared success

Business Development & Strategic Planning

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with dealer sales teams
  • Build strong relationships with external clients, commercial real estate, and other key industry influencers
  • Co-develop and implement strategic account plans for key competitive accounts and opportunities
  • Align regularly with dealer leadership and internal Steelcase teams on goals and progress
  • Host effective client experiences in the dealer showroom and Steelcase Work Life Center

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of B2B sales experience
  • Understanding of a dealer-based sales model
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders
  • Confident, challenger-style sales approach
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or related field
  • Experience in contract furniture or the commercial interiors industry
  • Established connections in the built environment community

Location

This position is on-site four days a week, with most time spent at One Workplace's Santa Clara headquarters and approximately one day a week at the Steelcase San Francisco office.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with California's Pay Transparency Act (SB 1162), the annual base salary range for this position is $114,200 - $142,800 - $178,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

You will also be eligible for a company profit sharing bonus and a sales incentive plan.
