Job Role s and Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for construction projects, including labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs.
Analyze project plans and specifications, and identify any potential risks, opportunities, or discrepancies.
Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to gather relevant information and clarify project requirements.
Obtain and evaluate quotes from contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and negotiate terms and prices.
Prepare and submit bid proposals and supporting documents to clients and follow up on the status and outcome of the bids.
Review contracts and change orders ensuring compliance with project specifications and company policies.
Manage and update the estimation database and software, and maintain accurate records of bid documents, revisions, and correspondence.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
Stay updated on latest industry trends, best practices, and market conditions, and adjust estimation strategies accordingly.

Qualifications and Certifications

Bachelor degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Minimum ten plus years of experience estimating construction projects, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector.
Proficient in using estimation software, such as HCSS, Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, or similar.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations, especially related to concrete work.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem solving skills.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Physical capability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, type, bend, and occasionally lift up to twenty pounds.
