Job Summary
A well‑established Northern California electrical contractor is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to join its growing team. The company has been a trusted name in commercial electrical construction for more than 40 years, delivering complex projects throughout the Bay Area with a strong focus on education, public works, design‑build, modernization, and site electrical construction.
Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 per year.

- Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and hard‑bid electrical estimates
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit vendor/subcontractor pricing
- Develop project budgets, schedules, manpower forecasts, and procurement plans
- Manage commercial electrical projects from kickoff through closeout
- Lead client meetings and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, and engineers
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, material procurement, and project documentation
- Monitor project financial performance, productivity, and schedule compliance
- Coordinate closely with field leadership to ensure successful project execution
- Support Design‑Build and Design‑Assist delivery methods
- Experience estimating and/or managing commercial electrical construction projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, distribution, lighting, and low‑voltage infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience with public work, education, healthcare, commercial, or institutional construction is highly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with Design‑Build and Design‑Assist projects is a plus
- Proficient with estimating software, Excel, and project management platforms
