We are seeking to hire an Electrical Superintendent to join our company in Santa Clara . You will be responsible for supporting the General Contractor in delivering a semiconductor test fab comprising a small fabrication facility and Critical Utilities Building. This is a long-term project approx. 2 years and an opportunity to forge a lifelong career with Atlantach
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise electrical construction activities from installation through testing, commissioning and handover.
- Manage electrical subcontractors, supervisors and site crews.
- Coordinate power distribution, lighting, grounding, controls, life-safety and critical electrical systems.
- Plan daily activities and monitor progress against project schedules and look-ahead plans.
- Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, process, CSA and critical utilities teams.
- Review drawings, specifications, method statements and installation requirements.
- Lead field coordination and resolve constructability, access and installation issues.
- Monitor material, equipment and labour requirements to prevent delays.
- Ensure installations meet design, code, safety and quality standards.
- Oversee inspections, testing, energisation, snagging and corrective actions.
- Support commissioning readiness, system turnover and handover documentation.
- Report progress, constraints, safety issues and risks to project management.
Authority:
- You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
- Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Proven MEP construction experience
- 7+ years of being a Safety and QAQC Cultural knowledge
- 7+ years of Electrical trade specific knowledge
- 5+ years experience managing schedules and subcontractors, and coordinating with architectural trades
- 5+ years experience working with contracts and exhibits
- 5+ years experience with detailed planning and demonstrated ability to understand plans and specs
- Strong electrical superintendent or supervisory experience on complex construction projects.
- Proven experience managing electrical subcontractors and large site teams.
- Semiconductor, cleanroom, advanced manufacturing or mission-critical project experience preferred.
- Experience with critical power distribution, switch gear, transformers, UPS, generators and grounding systems.
- Good knowledge of electrical codes, safe energisation and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation sequencing and multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams and construction schedules.
- Knowledge of inspections, testing, commissioning and system turnover processes.
- Strong leadership, planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, programme-driven environment.
- Strong commitment to safe working practices and high-quality delivery.
