Santa Clara Unified School District serves over 15,000 TK‑12 students, in addition to students in Preschool through Adult School. Neighborhoods in the Cities of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, San Jose, and Cupertino comprise the District's 56 square‑mile area. Requirements/ Qualifications
A valid California Special Ed (Mild/Moderate) Credential is required as well as an Added Authorization in Autism. Also required is at least one of the following authorizations to teach English Learners: CTEL, CLAD, BCLAD, AB2913 training (formerly SB395 OR SB1969) or SB2042 EL Authorization. Applicants who do not have a valid credential the first day of the school year will not be considered.
30-day Substitute Credentials are NOT valid credentials for contracted positions in our district.

Signing StipendSAI teachers and SLP's shall receive a signing bonus of $5,000, phased in over three years: $1,000 in the first year; $2,000 in the second year; $2,000 in the third year.
