Global Learning Program Manager
The Global Learning Program Manager is part of the Global Engagement team who lead global programs and strategy, and promote global diversity and intercultural learning for the University. Key programs and responsibilities in Global Engagement include international students and scholars, education abroad, international partnerships and strategic initiatives, University-sponsored international travel approval for the University, and campus programming that supports global diversity and intercultural learning.
The Global Learning Program Manager is part of a small dynamic team that includes the Director and Assistant Director of Global Learning, and part of the larger team in Global Engagement that leads programs and initiatives for students, faculty and staff that enhances global perspectives and global learning at the University. Global Learning in Global Engagement is the central hub for SCU student experiences abroad and a key department with responsibility for executing the goals of SCU's strategic plan, Our programs provide students with global learning outcomes that exemplify an SCU Impact 2030 Priority One:

Overseeing Advising Framework (40%) Employing developmentally and culturally appropriate advising frameworks and methods for students and families
- Demonstrates understanding of all undergraduate major/minor/Core requirements, Global Learning program courses for all approved programs (approximately 60 academic year and 30 summer programs) and advises students on course planning, integration and selection.
- Provides advising to diverse student and campus populations, including targeted group advising, supervision of peer-advising, and individual advising appointments.
- Advises prospective, current and returned participants and their families in areas such as University policy, programs, health and safety, financing, course planning and curriculum requirements
- Stays current with changes in University policies, Global Learning program portfolio, scholarship opportunities and undergraduate degree programs
- Maintains awareness of health, safety, risk management issues in education abroad
- Develops advising materials and resources, including writing and designing content for the Global Learning Advising Module in Camino.
- Identifies new opportunities to improve upon the existing advising program based on best practices
- Serves as primary lead responding to the globallearning inbox
Program Management (50%)
Work as part of a team by assuming primary or secondary responsibility for one or more specific programs managed by the Global Learning Team
- a. Peer Advisor Program Management and Supervision:
- In collaboration with the Director of Global Learning, provides day-to-day management of the Peer Advisor Program, including hiring, training and supervision of six Peer Advisors.
- Manages Peer Advisor schedules and advising appointment schedules.
- Develops training curriculum, e.g., videos, quizzes for Peer Advisor Program
- b. Outreach/Advising/Application Program Management
- Plans and manages the annual Global Opportunities Expo fair;
