PURPOSE:

The Program Coordinator (PC) for the Center for Spirituality and Faith provides programmatic support across all efforts of the Center to enhance the spiritual life of all students at Santa Clara University. The PC implements programs, supports various student groups, helps to develop and implement pilot programming, and helps enhance workflow and operations across the Center. In addition, the PC supports the ongoing assessment and student engagement data management to measure the success of the Center’s programs.

This position reports to the Director of the Center for Spirituality and works collaboratively with the entire Center for Spirituality team, supporting the broader programs and priorities of the Division of Mission and Ministry.

* Note:

this is a full-time fixed-term position that ends on June 30, 2027. While there may be opportunities in a variation of this role beyond that date, that will not be known until likely May 2027. Interested candidates need to understand they are committing to this role with the likely outcome that it ends and is not renewed.

* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Executes programming to foster the spiritual formation of all students

Plans and organizes student formation events, retreats, and programs that foster practices of discernment, reflection, and the integration of values into personal and professional identities across a broad spectrum of Catholic tradition, other religious traditions, and spiritual non-religious traditions and practices

Supports Mission and Ministry’s Retreat Team as they develop, promote, and deliver retreats that offer opportunities for all students – including religiously unaffiliated students – to explore spirituality, meaning, and  partnership with faith-based or other student clubs, leads, plans, and supports students in the practice of discernment, reflection, and the integration of values into personal and professional identities

Provides formation and training for student leaders and participants

Support outreach of programs to SCU students

Communicate with faculty to coordinate classroom visits for program outreach

Communicate with departments to coordinate presentations or table about programming

Support and organize student recruitment information sessions

Pilot new recruitment and invitation opportunities.

Develops and executes pilot programming that engages students in active outreach and service

Coordinates student engagement data and program evaluation

Supports the collection of student engagement data for all CSF programming

Implements best practices established by Mission and Ministry to document events, programs, evaluations, and follow-up Develops students' holistic formation through intensive mentorship and pastoral care Pastorally supports students, regardless of religious affiliation, during crises, spiritual accompaniment, and general mentorship

Fosters particular in-depth leadership development for student leaders, employees, and volunteers to foster their learning and formation in ministry

Accompanies students in the challenges they face in collaboration with CAPS and other university support units  Manages all operational and financial aspects related to the portfolio

With the support of operations staff, leads the effective operation of program activities

Manages annual allocated program budget development, reporting, and forecasting

Hires, trains, and supervises student employees and interns

Supports fundraising efforts and donor cultivation  Contributes to the broader work of the Division Consults with constituent programs to further align them with the Jesuit, Catholic mission
