Requirements / Qualifications

This position requires a Basic Competency Test. Testing schedule TBD.
Under the direction of the Principal and an assigned supervisor, assist the certificated teacher and/or Physical Education Teacher on Special Assignment (P.E. TOSA) in providing instruction in physical education to groups of elementary level students; implement assigned lessons with assigned groups of students; monitor and report student progress.
Representative duties include organizing groups and leading physical education learning activities for students; instructing classrooms of elementary students in a physical education program, reinforcing instruction as directed by the physical education teacher or the P.E. TOSA; providing a safe and productive environment for students to learn; monitoring and reporting behavior of students according to approved procedures, report progress regarding student performance and behavior in acquiring physical education skills;

and other duties such as clerical and others that will be compensated at the appropriate rate.

Qualifications:

Graduation from high school and demonstrated experience working with children in an organized setting and completion of CPR and First Aid Training.
