Purpose:
The Sr. Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission (Regional Manager
- Southern California) is a key strategic partner responsible for contributing and advancing Santa Clara University’s undergraduate enrollment goals. Operating remotely from the Los Angeles area, the Senior Associate Director drives recruitment and outreach strategies across assigned domestic and international regions, with a primary concentration in Southern California. Key responsibilities include planning and executing high school visits, participating in college fairs, leading recruitment events, and building strategic partnerships with prospective students, families, school counselors, community colleges, and community-based organizations.
In addition to territory management, the position plays an essential role in the evaluation of undergraduate applications for first-year and transfer students, domestic and international. By guiding prospective applicants through the admissions process and managing strategic engagement initiatives, the Senior Associate Director helps attract, evaluate, and enroll an academically accomplished, diverse, and socially conscious student body in alignment with university goals.
The Senior Associate Director will serve as one of the members of the mid-level management team that develops, manages, administers, implements and interprets university and/or department admission policies, processes and procedures. This exempt, 12-month position reports to the Director of Undergraduate Admission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Outreach (45%)
Manage an assigned recruitment territory and develop strategic, data-informed plans to engage prospective students and build enrollment pipelines that support and advance the SCU’s enrollment goals.
Cultivate, expand and strategically manage relationships with high school officials as well as independent counselors, community colleges, and community-based organizations. Facilitate and/or establish formal agreements with partnering organizations in the region.
Conduct extensive travel, via car and air, to recruit prospective students, represent Santa Clara University at college fairs, and participate in various recruitment events to bolster communication and outreach initiatives. When assigned, undertake additional travel outside the region, including both domestic and international destinations.
Manage and design events, ambassador and visitors service program budgets; develop reports and analysis measuring impact of programs and activity.
Craft and implement specialized recruitment strategies and marketing materials tailored for targeted audiences, including printed and digital communications in consultation with the Director of Enrollment Management Marketing.
Act as a front-line representative to share the benefits of a Jesuit education and the university’s academic and campus life opportunities.
Serve as a primary lead in the design and execution of virtual engagement initiatives for prospective students and families.
Support prospective students at every stage of the enrollment process, including application completion, enrollment deposits, and financial aid guidance with frequent information sessions and individual interactions.
Evaluate first-year and transfer undergraduate applications and credentials, assessing transcripts for admission accuracy and completion.
