Santa Clara University, a Jesuit and Catholic institution located in the heart of Silicon Valley, seeks a dynamic and collaborative professional for the position of Sr. Associate Director of International Enrollment. Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admission, the Sr. Associate Director serves as a leading recruitment and enrollment ambassador to schools and communities worldwide. This role involves crafting strategic communication plans, utilizing data to drive enrollment priorities, and fostering vital partnerships with students, counselors, community colleges, and national and international organizations to attract and enroll the next generation of global leaders.
The Senior Associate Director will serve as one of the members of the mid-level management team that develops, manages, administers, implements and interprets university and/or department admission policies, processes and procedures.
B.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES International Recruitment and Outreach (35%)
- Develop and cultivate relationships with prospective international first-year and transfer students and families, providing high-quality, student-oriented service from inquiry through enrollment.
- Cultivate relationships with high school officials as well as independent counselors and international student-focused agencies and organizations. Facilitate and/or establish formal agreements with partnering organizations.
- Travel, both internationally and domestically, to recruit international students and represent Santa Clara University at college fairs and information sessions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, agency partners, and government entities worldwide.
- Craft and implement specialized recruitment strategies and marketing materials tailored for international audiences, including printed and digital communications.
- Act as a front-line representative to share the benefits of a Jesuit education and the university's academic and campus life opportunities.
- Regularly engage with prospective students, families, and partners across multiple time zones, which may require working outside standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends during peak recruitment periods.
- Conduct virtual information sessions, interviews, and counselor/agency meetings to complement in-person recruitment travel, ensuring consistent outreach to markets not covered by scheduled travel.
- Evaluate international undergraduate applications and credentials; and assess transcripts for admission accuracy and completion.
- Serve as a liaison with the ISS office to support their efforts towards visa processing and ensure proper immigration documents for international students. Collaborate with ISS on communication that will inform students on the enrollment process while fostering engagement and sense of community.
- Oversee inbound and outbound communications and supporting systems to ensure prompt and accurate correspondence with international students and families. Work alongside additional campus departments participating in onboarding to deliver precise updates and support international students during their arrival at SCU, while considering new practices to support a growing and internationally diverse population.
- Identify and foster new and existing markets for prospective international students using data and trend analysis.
- Serve as Slate-CRM administrator for building and maximizing customer service & events related features to international students.
- Consult Director of EM Marketing and with the Dean of Undergraduate Admission on key initiatives including planning development, business processes implementations, systems understanding, and implementation follow through.
