Verification and Validation Engineer / Senior V&V Engineer. Salary: $120,000 – $150,000.

SI-BONE® focuses on improving lives of patients with sacroiliac pelvic conditions. We developed the patented iFuse Implant System® – a less invasive alternative to traditional SI joint fusion surgery, used in over 90,000 procedures.

• Conduct design verification and validation testing for product development.
• Support all technical aspects of the product and instruments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support sustaining engineering activities, root‑cause analysis, and engineering analysis.
• When non‑compliance with applicable standards (e.g., FDA QSR, ISO 13485, ISO 14971) is detected, quarantine product or documentation until corrective action is taken and report incidents to the appropriate authorities.
• Act honestly, ethically, and legally in all company dealings, complying with the Code of Conduct, Adva Med Code, and all applicable laws; report any suspected violations.

• Lead V&V for the SI-BONE product development group, driving continuous improvement of instrumentation and technology.
• Write protocols, perform tests, and produce performance and simulated‑use test reports.
• Source vendors for testing when necessary and oversee their testing.
• Support the SI‑BONE Quality System.

• At least 3 years V&V experience in a high‑growth medical device organization, preferably orthopedics; spine experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with initiative to meet deadlines.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Experience testing against ISO, ASTM, or similar standards.
• Effective communicator with cross‑disciplinary teams, surgeons, clinicians, and distributor reps.
• Comprehensive understanding of medical‑device business functions (engineering, manufacturing, operations, R&D, product marketing, clinical & regulatory, quality assurance).
• Demonstrated integrity and passion for high‑growth engineering support.
• Experience designing/fabricating mechanical test fixtures using machining or 3D printing.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000. Supplemental pay includes bonus and stock.
