Akkodis is seeking an Equipment Automation Engineer for a 6-month contract role based in Santa Clara, CA
. This is a 100% onsite position supporting factory automation initiatives, focusing on implementing and integrating Equipment Automation (EA) solutions with MES, Recipe Management (RMS), and Advanced Process Control (APC) systems.
To be considered, candidates must have strong experience in equipment automation, manufacturing engineering processes, and semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments
, with exposure to automation systems and process improvement.
Pay Range: $54/hr. – $64/hr. on W2 (The pay rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Equipment Automation Engineer responsibilities include:- Implement and integrate Equipment Automation (EA) solutions with factory and business systems
- Work with MES, RMS, APC, and manufacturing automation platforms
- Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, operation sequences, and engineering methods
- Support engineering change requests and new product introductions
- Apply DFx principles to improve quality and reduce manufacturing costs
- Develop test procedures and assist with test fixture development
- Perform root cause analysis, failure analysis, and continuous improvement actions
- Conduct PFMEA and support new product development activities
- Gather operational data and evaluate process performance
Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Equipment Automation or Factory Automation environments
- Hands-on exposure to MES, RMS, APC, or similar manufacturing systems
- Manufacturing engineering or process engineering background
- Root cause analysis, PFMEA, and continuous improvement experience
- Experience working in cleanroom or semiconductor manufacturing environments preferred
