Job Description

Join our team as an R&D Engineering Specialist, where you will support the testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and assembling of catheters. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in balloon catheters or those familiar with general catheter build or semiconductor processes. You will be working primarily in a clean room environment utilizing microscopes and various handheld equipment.

Responsibilities

* Test and inspect catheter components using advanced techniques.

* Troubleshoot and assemble catheters, ensuring precision and quality.

* Work extensively under a microscope for detailed examination of components.

* Assemble sub-components and manage small assemblies with precision.

* Utilize tactile skills for minor soldering and handling small tools like tweezers and razor blades.

* Conduct testing such as Instron/tensile testing, balloon compliance testing, and compliance and fatigue testing.

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and assembling of catheters.

* Experience working under a microscope for extended periods.

* Familiarity with clean room protocols and semiconductor processes.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience with balloon catheters is highly advantageous.

* Knowledge of plastics and minor soldering is beneficial but not mandatory.

* Ability to handle small tools such as tweezers and razor blades.

Work Environment

Work in a state-of-the-art facility located in Santa Clara. The position involves working Monday through Friday on-site, with an 8-hour shift starting flexibly between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM, depending on business needs. The role is primarily based in a clean room environment, requiring the use of microscopes and small hand tools.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
