ABM is seeking an experienced UPW / PCW / Wastewater Engineer to provide multi-site engineering leadership and reliability support for critical water utility systems supporting semiconductor and advanced manufacturing environments. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, efficient, and reliable operation of Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Process Cooling Water (PCW), and Industrial Wastewater systems. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in high-purity and industrial water systems with strong commissioning, project management, and operational optimization experience.
The position supports both greenfield and brownfield facilities, leading capital upgrades, system retrofits, reliability initiatives, and operational improvements across multiple client sites.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or mission-critical water utility systems, preferably in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
* Strong background in UPW, PCW, wastewater treatment, industrial water chemistry, and commissioning.
* Experience with fluid dynamics, pump systems, membrane systems, filtration technologies, and process controls.
* Experience with BMS, SCADA, and CMMS system integration.
* Strong communication skills and willingness to travel regionally.
Preferred Qualifications
* Semiconductor fabrication facility experience.
* Knowledge of water reclaim and sustainability initiatives.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or pursuit of licensure.
* Familiarity with high-purity piping standards and clean construction practices.

Engineering Oversight & System Reliability
* Provide engineering and technical oversight for UPW generation and distribution systems, PCW systems, industrial wastewater treatment and reclaim systems, chemical feed systems, and water storage and pumping infrastructure.
* Monitor and optimize system performance parameters including flow, pressure, temperature, resistivity, conductivity, TOC, pH, chemical balance, redundancy, and capacity utilization.
Commissioning & Capital Projects
* Lead or support commissioning, startup, retrofit, and capital improvement projects for UPW, PCW, and wastewater systems.
* Validate flushing, passivation, leak testing, water quality stabilization, and system alignment with design intent.
* Review vendor submittals, P&IDs, construction documents, and contractor installations for compliance.
