Johnson & Johnson Med Tech is seeking a Senior R&D Electro-Mechanical Technician in Santa Clara, CA.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair robotic and electromechanical systems.
• Perform hands‑on testing and validation of complex electro‑mechanical systems.
• Execute software testing, system updates, and firmware installations within Ubuntu/Linux environments.
• Partner with R&D engineers to support hardware upgrades, prototype builds, and development system enhancements.
• Build strong working relationships across engineering and technician teams through clear communication, collaboration, and a solutions‑oriented mindset.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and

Experience:

• Strong technical foundation with hands‑on experience solving complex challenges in robotic or advanced electromechanical systems.
• 5+ years of experience supporting, testing, or developing complex electromechanical systems in production, manufacturing, R&D, or laboratory environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive tasks to completion in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proven success contributing to innovative R&D programs and cross‑functional product development teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Collaborative team player who thrives in cross‑functional environments and values partnership, innovation, and continuous learning.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and

Experience:

• Previous experience in industrial robotics, automotive, aerospace, or other highly regulated electromechanical industries.
• Surgical robotics experience.

Base salary range: $69,000.00 to $ per year. Eligible for annual performance bonus and long‑term incentive program.
