Senior Electrical Design & Validation Engineer
As a Senior Electrical Design & Validation Engineer, you will lead the electric validation and characterization of complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) that enable next‑generation high‑speed products. This role provides end‑to‑end ownership of electrical signoff while partnering closely with design, layout, firmware, and system teams to deliver reliable, compliant, and high‑performing hardware.
Your Role- Lead end‑to‑end electrical characterization, validation, and signoff for complex, multilayer PCBAs with high‑speed interfaces such as PCIe and DDR.
- Drive root‑cause analysis of electrical and high‑speed failures, recommending and influencing corrective actions across design and layout.
- Execute signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and PDN characterization to ensure margin, robustness, and performance.
- Lead board bring‑up activities for first‑silicon and early prototype hardware using advanced lab instrumentation.
- Evaluate power consumption, thermal interactions, and electrical performance under functional and stress conditions.
- Partner closely with design, layout, firmware, and system teams to resolve cross‑domain issues impacting electrical performance.
- Support EMI/EMC pre‑compliance investigations and regulatory readiness efforts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in PCBA electrical characterization, validation, or high‑speed hardware engineering, aligned with a senior‑level role.
- Proven expertise validating high‑speed interfaces such as PCIe and DDR memory.
- Strong foundation in signal integrity, power integrity, and PDN analysis.
- Advanced debug experience using high‑speed lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, TDRs, logic and protocol analyzers).
- Ability to review and interpret schematics and PCB layouts using tools such as OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, or Valor.
- Experience defining test methodologies, automation strategies, and repeatable validation flows.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to influence across functions.
Compensation range: $88,000 – $187,740 per year.
