Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for an On‑Site Service Engineer based fully on‑site at either Santa Clara, CA or Cincinnati, OH.

Purpose

The On‑Site Service Engineer provides frontline technical and troubleshooting support, addressing and resolving customer needs and requests. The role involves constant interaction with internal and external customers and requires maintaining engineering systems in a demo‑ready state for customer demonstrations.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out technical mechanical, electrical, and software service activities under the supervision of the team leader.
  • Monitor health of assigned robotic systems and report insights and feedback to stakeholders.
  • Execute tasks such as processing quality documentation and participating in process improvement discussions to increase team efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous learning and training to expand knowledge of robotics systems.
  • Work safely in a manufacturing environment, following all safety and hazard requirements.
  • Use handheld and power tooling, record tooling calibration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 2+ years of medical device experience.
  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and performing hardware/software updates on medical devices.
  • 1+ year of experience in documentation for technical assessment, quality and compliance.
  • Previous experience using Linux (Ubuntu) to run commands for updates.
  • Strong skills with power/specialized hand tools and electronic measuring instruments.
  • Excellent communicator with superior critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite (MS Dynamics
    365) is preferred.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with external customers, co‑workers and cross‑functional team members.
  • Experience prioritizing, organizing and managing multiple projects under supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and conceptualize, develop and manage timelines.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills, proficient in speaking and writing English.
  • Up to 20% domestic travel to other JNJ US sites may be required.

Compensation

Base pay range: $91,000–$147,200. Eligible for the Company’s long‑term incentive program, consolidated retirement plan (401(k)), and additional benefits such as vacation, sick time, paid holidays, parental leave, and volunteer leave. Full benefits description available at
