Product Manager – Semiconductor Patterned Wafer Metrology

Applied Materials is looking for a Product Manager who is a technical expert on semiconductor patterned wafer metrology, is the single point of contact for customer engagement, and owns development of metrology use‑cases including timeline, delivery and customer feedback. The candidate should have experience in semiconductor wafer manufacturing industry. Experience in patterned wafer metrology or inspection is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full product PRD.
  • Identify marketing roadmap and future customer needs to provide correct product roadmap.
  • Analyze needs and develop and transfer new application capabilities in the system envelope from product division to customer application support team.
  • Technically lead difficult, complex problem‑solving solutions.
  • Define customer technical requirements through deep analysis and clear understanding of the product roadmap.
  • Key member in red team.
  • Generate patents.
  • Define new methodologies to optimize system performance for specific application.
  • Lead customer technical review meetings.
  • Lead and/or develop and execute exceptionally complex technology and engineering projects and lead research and development of new technologies.
  • Work on critical complex issues that impact longer‑term product development and business success measured by incremental revenue growth, market share increases, key customer penetrations, time to market improvement and commercial value of the work.
  • Develop innovative solutions as part of proven track record of significant technology contributions.
  • Lead and collaborate to contribute to the development of new principles and concepts.
  • Guide less experienced engineers in defining methods and new technologies and applying them on unusually complex systems.
  • Involved in judging the approach and verifying the validity of technical strategies.

  • Regarded as the technical expert in detection flow in 2‑3 particular fields including broad view of customer needs and roadmap.
  • Demonstrates in‑depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function.

  • Anticipates business and regulatory issues; recommends product, process or service improvements.
Leadership
  • Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution.

  • Impacts the direction of product roadmap by in‑depth understanding of customer roadmap and product limitations.
