Overview
We are actively seeking a Lead Engineer to join our NVIDIA Regulatory Compliance Team. The team is dedicated to design, testing, debugging, and certification of NVIDIA products in terms of Safety, EMC, and Energy Efficiency. Responsibilities- Develop reasonable and cost‑effective safety design guide for product in compliance with UL/IEC 62368‑1, IEC 62477, IEC 60065, CNS 15598‑1, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to pinpoint safety issues in product designs.
- Write Compliance Product Design Requirements summarizing safety compliance requirements and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to incorporate safety considerations into product development.
- Develop and implement safety testing and certification plans, coordinate with government‑accredited laboratories, optimize testing processes for efficient execution, review test data and reports to ensure successful certification, assist customers, and troubleshoot any issues.
- Review and approve design changes to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to product safety.
- Represent the company in government and industry forums while driving regulatory strategy and compliance for products in the areas of electrical safety.
- Independently research new technologies and regulatory requirements for emerging product types, summarize findings, and present to the team.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics, electrical engineering, communications, computer applications, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of solid background in safety design, testing, and certification.
- Proficient in safety design, testing, and certification of power supply, battery backup unit, high‑power server products.
- Familiarity with safety certification processes in various countries (CB, UL, TUV, CCC, PSE, BSMI, BIS).
- Profound understanding of electrical safety standards and underlying considerations.
- Deep knowledge of safety regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in component safety standards such as UL796/UL796F, UL746E/UL746A/UL746B/UL746F, UL1434/IEC
60730‑1, UL2367, IEC
60127/UL248, IEC
60269, IEC
62477, UL1449, UL810A, UL/IEC
60384‑14, UL817/UL62, UL758, UL498/UL1682, UL94/UL1581, UL1642, UL2054, IEC
62133.
- Direct, practical experience as an Evaluator or Reviewer at one or more of the following NRTLs: UL, TÜV Rheinland, TÜV SÜD, CSA Group, Intertek (ETL), SGS, or equivalent accredited laboratories.
- Advance certifications (e.g., UL Master Evaluator or equivalent from other NRTLs).
- Experience with high‑voltage DC (e.g., 800
VDC) power systems, including design, compliance, or safety evaluation. - Familiarity with energy storage systems, battery safety standards (IEC 62619, UL 9540), and grid‑connected applications.
Base salary range:
Level3 – $136,000 to $212,750;
Level4 – $168,000 to $258,750. Eligible for equity and benefits. Applications open until June
