Highest Resolution Electrical Measurements

Prime Nano is an early‑stage, privately held analytical instrument company. We have commercialized a patented microwave impedance imaging technology developed at Stanford University. Prime Nano’s Scan Wave product enables imaging of electrical properties of materials at sub‑micron dimensions using atomic force microscopes (AFMs).

Senior Director of Engineering
  • Design experience of PCB‑level, discrete analog microwave/RF electronics and digital interfaces (1–5 GHz)
  • Experience in delivery and production of small‑volume, high ASP products (30–200 units)
  • Leadership experience as Director of Engineering, launching multiple discrete (non‑IC) microwave products
  • Imaging systems with nanometer‑scale resolution
  • Ability to plan, budget, and execute design, development, and manufacturing programs
  • Proven interpersonal and technical management skills

Additional desired capabilities:

  • Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) experience
  • Experience with cryogenic systems
  • Experience in manufacturing and supporting commercial instrumentation products
  • Experience managing software development as part of the product development cycle (GUI, instrument controls, etc.)
  • Familiarity with near‑field optical interactions
  • Understanding of semiconductor devices and doped semiconductor behavior
  • MEMS design and fabrication techniques
  • Knowledge of scanning probe techniques and their applications
  • An advanced degree in engineering or physics
