Job DescriptionThe Technical Program Manager, RF & Silicon Photonics, acts as the main technical interface to ST’s foundry customers in the Americas for Silicon Photonics, SiGe BiCMOS, and other related process technologies. The role supports programs for assigned customers designing products using ST’s innovative technologies. The candidate collaborates with customers’ design and operations teams along with ST’s internal marketing, sales, business unit, foundry and central R&D teams.
Responsibilities- Provide training and onboarding to ramp‑up foundry customers’ design teams on ST process platforms.
- Provide timely and effective support to technical issues or customer questions regarding ST PDK and IP/library deliveries for simulation, layout, extraction, and reliability.
- Enhance PDK documentation, develop application notes and best practices to be shared with customers and internal teams.
- Lead regular (weekly, bi‑weekly, quarterly) technical calls with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of assigned design programs from inception to product tape‑out, delivery of engineering samples and production ramp‑up.
- Participate in the definition of photonic/electronic reference designs and proof‑of‑concept board/system builds.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in semiconductor/photonic technology to incorporate best practices into PDK/IP/libraries development.
- Direct experience with PIC (Photonic Integrated Circuit) design, waveguide theory, and integrated lasers/modulators (Silicon Photonics).
- Expertise in 100G/200G+ per‑lane electrical interfaces, TIAs, and drivers, with an understanding of SiGe HBT physics for ultra‑high‑speed signaling (High‑Speed RF / SiGe BiCMOS).
- Experience in pixel‑level nano photonics, complex optical stacks, and non‑Manhattan layouts, translating effectively to the challenges of managing light in silicon wave guides (CMOS Image Sensor R&D).
- Experience in simulation, design, and advanced packaging/testing of electro‑optics products (Advanced packaging).
- BSEE, MSEE with 6+ years of RF or Silicon photonics experience in design, process development or applications engineering.
- Experience in program management of customer programs across multiple geographies and functions leading to multiple production tape‑outs, engineering validation and production ramp‑up.
The base annual salary range for this role is between $151,200 to $189,000 USD.
