Position SummaryThis role involves managing key suppliers for anodization, electropolishing and plating processes, evaluating technical requirements, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to drive quality, cost, and performance improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and qualify key suppliers for anodization, electropolishing, and plating.
- Evaluate technical requirements of new and existing products.
- Recommend materials to Design Engineering to achieve savings, lead‑time reductions, system improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Work with New Product Development teams to ensure clear engineering drawing requirements and effective communication with suppliers.
- Participate in New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in specifications to promote design for manufacturability.
- Continuously engage in the Supplier Selection Process to build a competitive supply base focused on quality, value/cost, delivery, and technology.
- Lead the supplier technical audit process and evaluate supplier performance, driving continuous improvement opportunities.
- Train other supplier engineers on the audit and evaluation process.
- Lead quality problem resolution and incident management, driving root‑cause analysis and corrective action.
- Identify and drive systemic supplier resolutions at the process level.
- Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers and supply markets.
- Deep expertise in the relevant technical discipline.
- Strong business acumen to interpret challenges and recommend best practices for products, processes, or services.
- Leadership experience in leading functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
- Problem‑solving ability, using sophisticated analytical thinking.
- Impact focus, aligning work with customer and operational objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communicating difficult concepts and negotiating effectively.
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Salary: $110,500 – $152,000 annually (based on location, hire grade, experience, and internal equity).
Type: Full time

Travel: Yes, approximately 20% of the time

Additional compensation may be available through bonus and stock award programs.
