Job Description

We are looking to perform competitive analysis and establish the players, specifications of chips and IP for Ethernet SERDES, PCIe, UCIe, LPDDR, DDR, HBM PHYs and controllers. Using this information, the team will build a roadmap and lay out a strategy that includes both internal and external teams. The role requires understanding where the competition stands on each of these IPs, gathering data from press releases, conferences, trade shows, and industry contacts, and compiling that information for team use.

The Market Research Consultant will have weekly meetings with the Manager to plan what information to gather, analyze it, and present the findings in clear Power Points or reports. Collaboration with Design and SOC teams will also be required to understand technical needs and details. The majority of the work is remote with a few visits to the Intel facility.

• Electrical Engineering bachelor’s degree or related field.
• Business degree (MBA).
• 10+ years of experience in business development roles.
• 25+ years of working experience in a combination of the following areas:
  • Semiconductor companies – knowledge of semiconductor chips, ASICs, and foundries from a business perspective.
  • Contact networks in the Bay Area and with most chip companies.
  • Data collection, extraction from datasheets and press releases, and compilation of data using AI to generate reports and Power Points.
  • Marketing research and semiconductor foundry business.
  • System-on-Chip development for datacom, telecom, and high-performance computing with SERDES/PHY IPs for Ethernet, PCIe, UCIe, LPDDR, DDR, and HBM.
• Preferred to have knowledge of SERDES (Serializer/Deserializer) and Analog space.
• Willing to attend trade shows, expos, and conferences.

Annual Salary Range for this position in the US: $52,000.00–$. The actual compensation is determined by work location and relevant experience.
