Systems Integration Engineering Professional Contract duration: 12 month contract with potential to hire on full time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a System Integrator to support the design, integration, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial control and operational technology (OT) systems in a highly technical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting networked industrial systems, supporting PLC and OT environments, configuring network infrastructure, coordinating with global teams, and assisting with commissioning and verification activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in construction or industrial environments, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Support and maintain networked industrial systems through hardware, software, and networking troubleshooting.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices.
- Interpret electrical and networking wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Work within PLC and operational technology (OT) environments.
- Develop Statements of Work (SOWs) for electrical contractors.
- Support virtualization technologies and apply cybersecurity best practices.
- Perform system commissioning, startup, verification, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to establish subnet, VLAN, and firewall configurations.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and flowmeters.
- Analyze technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and operations teams. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Manage multiple work requests and assignments while meeting deadlines and priorities.
- Associate degree or equivalent vocational/technical education.
- Experience working in construction, industrial, or field environments, including field verification activities.
- Knowledge of design and construction specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement solutions.
- Basic knowledge of Cimplicity SCADA programming.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience with commissioning, verification, and startup activities.
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and flowmeters.
- Basic AutoCAD experience.
- Experience in semiconductor, data center, or similar high-tech industrial environments.
- Understanding of controls systems, networking, electrical, and mechanical schematics.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within cross-functional and multidisciplinary environments.
