- Overall chip design knowledge with hands‑on experience/projects in at least one phase in chip development roadmap
- Apply domain knowledge to efficiently debug or troubleshoot problems in a given area of expertise in a specific design phase
- Able to implement concepts to troubleshoot a variety of complex problems within a variety of steps in the IC design issues under limited supervision
- Effective technical verbal/written communication. Collaborate with immediate team members
- Able to follow complex program schedules, budgets, and milestones with direct supervision
- Identify risks to supervisor and propose possible solutions
- Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
- Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within own job family and knowledge of other related job families
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Applies in-depth understanding of how own discipline integrates within the segment/function
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
- Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus
