Role Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute systems engineering projects with sensor, algorithm, and control system modules for plasma etch systems – from concept to production deployment.
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for automation and advanced control of complex etch subsystems: RF Power, Pulsed Voltage (PVT), Flow, and Temperature.
  • Identify and address gaps in sensor technologies necessary to diagnose equipment performance in production environments.
  • Build and qualify prototypes of new designs or procure entire subsystems from outsourced suppliers and test for compliance with detailed specifications.
  • Design and implement solutions that combine classical mathematical algorithms with deep learning approaches to solve productivity challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, including Field, Marketing, Product, Applications, Software, and Systems teams, to gather requirements and integrate sensor and control system solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD (or Masters with experience) in Engineering or Physics.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: RF/DC Plasma Systems, Plasma Sensing, Algorithm Development.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
  • Data analysis skills using MATLAB, Python, or similar.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary R&D environment: SW/HW/Algo.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication to influence a range of stakeholders.

  • The salary offered will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration of internal equity.
