As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications.
You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations - and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.
- Support automation systems engineering projects that have a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, and software design, and understand the underlying system implications.
- Leverage robotics subject matter expertise in performing systems engineering analyses in support of semiconductor equipment product development.
- Leverage robotics subject matter expertise and interpersonal skills to evaluate & negotiate requirements from internal and external customers with consideration for feasibility, technical risks, and operational factors.
- Manage projects consisting of software and mechanical scope to ensure OEM robot vendors meet specific requirements on time and at cost.
- Perform software and mechanical testing and qualification of OEM supplied robots.
- Design & build physical test stands and develop testing software in support of qualification activities.
- Maintain accountability for quality and reliability requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive closure of quality problems using structured methodologies.
- Evaluate mechanical, software & electrical designs within material handling robots, and similar mechanisms, with respect to requirements.
- Support System Integration and troubleshooting of automation modules during the manufacturing and application lab (cleanroom) operations of new product designs.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6-7 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience in robotics and/or automation systems engineering and integration, including hardware testing, software testing, and complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Master's degree
- 8 years of experience
- Project management and supplier management experience
- Experience with Semiconductor Wafer Handling

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
