Applied Materials’ PPB at the CTO office is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2026. The role is based in Santa Clara, CA.
Responsibilities- Assist with inorganic, organic, and polymer material/chemical screening, characterization, and metrology work, including safe handling of chemicals.
- Lead small development projects involving materials/chemical characterization, screening, and QC.
- Conduct material/chemical testing and analysis.
- Maintain detailed lab records.
- Support process engineers with material/chemical needs.
- Student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or related field.
- Student in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience in materials characterization or analytical chemistry (preferred).
- Quick learner.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
