Rack Level Integration Engineer
The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with rack-level integration, AI compute rack architectures, hardware/software validation, and high-performance infrastructure environments. This role requires expertise in integrating servers, accelerators, networking switches, optical interconnects, power systems, and cooling solutions into highly optimized rack-scale platforms.
Key ResponsibilitiesRack-Level Integration & Validation
- Lead rack-level integration activities for AI compute rack solutions and photonic fabric technologies.
- Integrate and validate all hardware and software elements within AI compute rack environments.
- Ensure compatibility, connectivity, stability, and optimal rack-level performance across integrated systems.
- Execute hands-on rack assembly, racking, stacking, and high-touch integration procedures.
Optical Interconnect & Infrastructure Integration
- Integrate rack-level optical interconnect technologies and optical backplane solutions.
- Configure and validate networking switches, servers, accelerators, smart PDUs, cooling systems, and power shelves.
- Support rack-level management functions including monitoring, automation, and system control capabilities.
Testing, Qualification & Performance Optimization
- Set up, test, troubleshoot, and qualify complete rack-level solutions.
- Ensure rack systems meet stringent performance, reliability, efficiency, and scalability benchmarks.
- Conduct validation testing and performance analysis across integrated AI compute environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware, thermal, power, and connectivity-related issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, design teams, program managers, vendors, and customers.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for rack integration activities, testing, and configurations.
- Support technical problem-solving across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and integration best practices.

Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on rack-level integration experience.
- Experience working in high-tech or semiconductor industry environments.
- Experience integrating AI compute rack components and infrastructure systems.
- Proven experience validating rack-level solutions for performance and reliability.
- Fully onsite engineering lab environment in Santa Clara, CA.
- Hands-on integration and validation role.
- Fast-paced high-tech product development environment.
