Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are now hiring a Circuit Design Engineer for Standard Cell Characterization. NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It’s a unique legacy of innovation that’s fueled by great technology—and amazing people.

NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company”.

We are looking to grow our company and teams with the best people in the world. We’re rapidly growing our research and development for inference and specialize in developing GPU‑accelerated Deep Learning software. Researchers around the world are using NVIDIA GPUs to power a revolution in Deep Learning and enable breakthroughs in numerous areas.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Work on the cutting‑edge processor design in deep‑submicron technologies, and on standard cell library design and characterization. Drive the concepts of transistor‑level circuit design, modeling, and performance analysis.
  • Support and develop tools using Perl/Python.
  • Develop creative new insights to support existing tools and flows and create new simulations to perform timing, power, noise, and OCV evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams regarding library issues and improve quality checks on the library work.
What We Need To See
  • MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience is preferred.
  • Strong background in deep‑submicron process issues.
  • Deep understanding of the design, verification, and characterization of standard cell libraries, and of generating timing, power, noise, and OCV views of the standard cells, validating data, and QA process.
  • Familiarity with Liberty models and their application to digital implementation and signoff flows.
  • Hands‑on experience running SPICE simulation and capability to adapt to new simulation tools.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, and Make, and experience with automation methods/algorithms is a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and analytical skills. You should be able to learn quickly, be hard‑working, and be results‑oriented.
  • Prior standard cell library or IP characterization experience is a plus.
