Role DescriptionRinne & Peterson is seeking a full‑time Project Engineer for a hybrid position based in Santa Clara, CA. Our hybrid work schedule is designed to support collaboration, learning, and teamwork. Employees are expected to work from the office Tuesday through Friday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays.
Under the direction of a Senior Project Engineer, Associate, and/or Principal, the Project Engineer supports all stages of the project workflow, from planning through completion. The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with staff engineers to complete project assignments and deliverables.
Qualifications- B.S. or M.S. degree in structural engineering
- PE or SE license in California
- 3-10 years of experience in the structural engineering field
- Design experience with steel, concrete, and wood structures
- Experience with engineering analysis software such as RISA, ETABs, SAFE, Enercalc
- Desire for continuous lifelong learning, personal development, and growth
- Curiosity, attention to detail, technical excellence, and common sense
- Interest in architecture, building engineering systems, and collaborative design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical skills and knowledge compatible with years of experience
- Experience writing proposals and reports
- Experience managing projects and interacting with design team, contractors, and clients
- AutoCAD and/or Revit experience a benefit
- Annual pay range:$100,000 and $150,000
