Stationary Engineer / Fire Life Safety Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of buildings and occupants by maintaining engineering systems and testing fire safety systems. The Stationary Engineer must be certified and is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of fire alarm and suppression systems, emergency lighting, and other life safety systems within buildings as well as general engineering equipment and controls.

The technician ensures compliance with local fire codes and regulations to ensure the safety of building occupants and assets.

* 5 plus years of engineering experience.

* Engineering skills sets which can be applied to a range of systems, maintenance programs and engines.

* Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available.

* Customer Service Experience.

Certifications:

* Certifications such as NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Fire Alarm Systems or Fire Life Safety are required.

Experience:

* Experience in the installation, inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of fire safety equipment is preferred.

* One (1) year of similar work experience

* Experience performing duties to support laboratory, GMP environments, and/or mission critically preferred.

The Stationary Engineer / Fire Life Safety Technician must be certified and is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, repair of fire alarm and suppression systems, emergency lighting, and other life safety systems within building as well as general engineering equipment and controls. The technician ensures compliance with local fire codes and regulations to ensure the safety of building occupants and assets.

Operation and Maintenance:

* Follows safe practices and complies with company and regulatory standards.

* Qualified to operate or assist in operating all heating and ventilating equipment, engines, turbines, motors, combustion engines, pumps, air compressors, ice and refrigerating machines, air conditioning units, fans and siphons on the site assigned.

* You will be responsible for working with both internal and external customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations and failure investigations.

* Provides engineering support for a wide range of systems, maintenance programs, engines as well as operational engineering functions.

* Must be able to understand, analyze and seek solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance or repair of vehicles/equipment and their components.

* Inspect, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, smoke detectors, emergency lighting, and other fire protection equipment.
