Design Lead - Sheet Metal, DFMA, Creo
The Design Lead will be responsible for overseeing Sheet Metal Design, Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DFMA), and utilizing Creo/ProE. The primary focus will be on leading the design team and ensuring efficient and effective design processes to meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Very Good experience in onsite-offshore coordination
- Managing large assemblies and system layout using reference geometry
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, sheet metal forming & operations
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs using 3D modeling software packages (ProE/Creo, etc.)
- Proficient in 3D solid modeling using CAD, preferably ProE/Creo
- Understanding of materials and fabrication techniques for vacuum systems
- Be able to work in a multi-discipline and multi-culture global organization
- Be flexible and adaptive to adjust project focus based on priority changes
- Excellent writing skills and verbal communication
- Good knowledge of Engineering Materials in the design environment
Experience:
- Proficient in sheet metal design principles and techniques
- Expertise in design for manufacture & assembly (dfma) methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of creo/proe software for designing components and assemblies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for design optimization
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Ability to lead and mentor a design team to foster creativity and innovation
- Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality designs within project timelines
Compensation and Benefits:
A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
