As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications.
You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.
- Risk identification and mitigation using FMECA and Design Verification Test
- Evaluate and work closely with Product Safety Engineering to understand the safety compliance to Applied Minimum Product Safety Requirement
- Understanding in Industry standards such as SEMI S2, IPC 610D, IPC 9592, IEC/EN 61000, JESD
22, MIL-STD-810, and knowledge of safety requirement (i.e. UL/CE/TUV). - Develops new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems with new product safety and reliability
- Propose procedure improvement to prevent equipment damage or injury
- Assist in preparing & presenting safety and reliability reports;
- Assist with root cause analysis of field failures and engage with suppliers on improvement changes.
- Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in semiconductor equipment, especially in single point of failure products and how to improve safety and reliability
- Deep knowledge of derating and thermal management in order to increase the useful life of electrical components
- Ability to automate the data analysis using AI
- Leads others to solve complex reliability problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
- Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
