Senior Manager, Manufacturing Finance

SiTime is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager, Manufacturing Finance, to serve as the primary finance partner for Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain. This leader will connect operational performance to financial outcomes by owning manufacturing planning and analysis, inventory and standard costing processes, gross margin insights, capital spending analysis, and manufacturing variance reporting.

The role combines strong financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, and controllership disciplines. The successful candidate will translate detailed operational data into clear financial implications and recommended actions, while strengthening processes, controls, analytics, and cross-functional accountability.

Responsibilities:

Lead Manufacturing Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for manufacturing operations, including overhead, supply chain costs, inventory, logistics, subcontractor costs, capital spending, and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain leadership on monthly and quarterly reviews, including key performance indicators, variance analysis, risks and opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Develop driver-based models connecting volume, mix, yield, supplier pricing, labor, overhead, freight, test and assembly costs, capacity, and utilization to COGS, gross margin, inventory, and cash.
  • Prepare concise financial narratives for executive reviews, the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly close commentary, and ad hoc scenarios.
Drive Gross Margin and Manufacturing Cost Performance
  • Lead analysis of gross margin performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities across manufacturing operations, sales mix, supply chain, and engineering initiatives.
  • Analyze purchase price, yield, usage, mix, freight, subcontractor, overhead, and utilization variances; quantify financial impact and partner with operating teams on root-cause resolution.
  • Build repeatable gross margin and inventory bridges across price, volume, mix, cost, yield, utilization, and timing.
  • Validate cost-reduction assumptions, track realized savings and maintain accountability for margin improvement actions.
Own Standard Costing and Cost Accounting
  • Lead the standard cost update and cost rollup process, including bills of material, supplier pricing, yield assumptions, test and assembly costs, routings, and overhead rates.
  • Ensure standards are accurate, documented, controlled, and aligned with current manufacturing economics and operational assumptions.
  • Support new product introductions by validating early cost models and establishing scalable costing processes for new products and manufacturing flows.
  • Partner with Accounting during monthly and quarterly close to support accurate inventory, COGS, manufacturing variance, and balance sheet reporting.
Strengthen Inventory Finance and Controls
  • Oversee subledger-to-general-ledger inventory reconciliations, valuation reviews, reserve analysis support, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Analyze inventory turns, movements, adjustments, cycle counts, scrap, excess and obsolete exposure, and working capital implications.
  • Improve inventory work papers, ownership, review cadence, exception tracking, supporting documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Support internal and external audits relating to inventory, standard costs, reserves, manufacturing variances, and related controls.
Lead Capital Spending Analysis
  • Evaluate capital requests with Operations, Engineering, and Finance, including business cases, return on investment, payback, capacity impact, and strategic alignment.
  • Maintain visibility into approved projects, actual and forecast spending, timing risks, capitalization assumptions, and capital productivity.
  • Highlight underutilized assets, delayed programs, cost overruns, and opportunities to improve capital discipline and post-investment accountability.
Build Scalable Processes and Develop the Team
  • Supervise, coach, and develop cost accounting and operations finance resources; set priorities, review deliverables, and build analytical capability.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Accounting, IT, and FP&A to improve transparency, decision quality, and ownership.
  • Simplify manual processes, automate recurring analysis, and support ERP and reporting improvements for inventory and manufacturing finance.
  • Balance strong controls with practical, efficient processes suited to a fast-moving global semiconductor business.

Qualifications & Requirements:
