We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to join our operations team at the Santa Clara Campus. You will be a key part of the onsite team, responsible for the physical installation, cabling, and setup of data center equipment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their attention to detail, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to broaden their expertise across networking, Azure, phone systems, and managed service platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install server racks and physically mount servers to rack according to provided schematics and plans.
  • Connect Ethernet and power cords, ensuring cables are neatly routed and tied within racks for efficient management and access.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of data center hardware.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement best practices in data center operations.
  • Assist with system upgrades, addressing basic networking and hardware issues as they arise.
  • Leverage exposure to Azure and managed service platforms (MSP) to assist with cloud connectivity and service requests.
  • Contribute to support and troubleshooting tasks related to phone/telephony systems when needed.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 2–4 years of experience in a data center or similar hands‑on technical environment.
  • Experience with server rack installation, server mounting, cabling, and cable management based on provided diagrams or documentation.
  • Working knowledge of basic networking fundamentals (Ethernet, patch panels, cabling, IP addressing).
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure environments is highly preferred.
  • Experience with managed service platforms (MSP) and/or knowledge of telephony/phone systems is a plus.
  • “Jack‑of‑all‑trades” mindset and willingness to work outside specialized silos as needs arise.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as required by data center environment.
