Position Summary

The Physical Security Systems Specialist leads global physical security technology projects, maintains project tracking tools, coordinates cross‑functional teams, troubleshoots systems such as Avigilon, provides technical support, and manages vendor relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Lead tracking and coordination of global physical security systems/technology projects (deployments, upgrades, migrations, integrations, pilots) in support of the Program Manager.
  • Maintain and own program tracking artifacts: master project tracker, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and delivery dates across regions.
  • Drive project cadence: prepare agendas, run working sessions as needed, capture decisions, and track action items to closure.
  • Manage project reporting: weekly/monthly status updates and leadership‑ready dashboards/metrics.
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally (Facilities, IT, regional security, integrators, business partners) to remove blockers and keep initiatives on track.
  • Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and incident response for physical security systems (video, access control, alarms, integrations), including occasional off‑hour support as needed.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and uptime; identify trends and proactively drive remediation with vendors/internal partners.
  • Troubleshoot Avigilon (VMS/camera issues, recording/retention, alerts, user/access problems, and basic configuration changes).
  • Serve as first‑level technical support: triage requests, document resolutions, and ensure timely closure with clear communications.
  • Support vendor performance and lifecycle needs (tickets, maintenance, renewals) and contribute to operational KPIs and continuous improvement of standards/processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant discipline (e.g., security systems integration, physical security, electrical engineering, criminal justice).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise physical security systems and/or security technology programs.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with video management and/or access control platforms; able to triage issues and work effectively with integrators and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to track and coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives across regions, stakeholders, and timelines.
  • Advanced customer service mindset with the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
Preferred Experience
  • Avigilon troubleshooting and administration experience (strongly preferred).
  • Experience with Genetec, Avigilon, and/or Alert Enterprise environments and integrations.
  • Proficiency with business and documentation tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus).
  • Familiarity with procurement and vendor management processes/tools (e.g., Oracle or similar).
