Job Description & How to Apply Below

Insight Global is seeking an OSP Project Manager with strong fiber splicing and OTDR expertise to support a large telecommunications customer.

This individual will own end-to-end delivery of fiber connectivity projects, acting as the primary point of contact post-sale while providing oversight of splicing, testing, and route quality.

This is not a purely administrative PM role — the ideal candidate will bring deep field knowledge in fiber splicing, OTDR trace analysis, and construction standards to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities Splicing & OTDR Technical Oversight (Core Focus)
  • Lead and oversee fiber splicing operations across multiple projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to standards
  • Read, interpret, and validate OTDR traces to identify issues such as loss, reflections, and splice defects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve fiber performance issues using OTDR and other testing methods
  • Review and approve splice maps, test results, and closeout packages
  • Ensure all splicing documentation and test results are accurate, complete, and delivered on time
  • Act as the technical escalation point for splicing and testing vendors
Project & Customer Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers post-sale, providing consistent communication and project updates
  • Manage customer orders, service requests, and installation coordination
  • Lead customer meetings, site visits, and field reviews as needed
  • Deliver both project-level and executive-level reporting
Fiber Planning & Field Execution
  • Validate fiber routes, splice points, fiber counts, and network design requirements
  • Conduct site walks and field assessments to confirm constructability and timelines
  • Ensure alignment between design, field execution, and final delivery
Vendor & Construction Management
  • Manage splicing and testing vendors to accelerate route delivery and maintain quality
  • Coordinate access to network sites and customer locations for field activities
  • Enforce compliance with splicing standards, maintenance schedules, and testing protocols
  • Support resource planning and field coordination across multiple builds
Scheduling, Budget & Risk Management
  • Own and manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation
  • Proactively identify risks in construction or testing phases and implement mitigation plans
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to construction standards
Stakeholder & Municipality Coordination
  • Interface with customers, subcontractors, internal teams, and local municipalities
  • Support permitting discussions and maintain clear communication across all project stakeholders
