Information Technology Specialist
Santa Clara, CA (On-site)
About the RoleAs an IT Specialist at Anatomage, you will improve and support the company's IT infrastructure, provide technical support to all levels of faculty, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.
What You’ll Do- Work on projects to improve the IT infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Monitor network performance and availability
- Maintain network security systems, surveillance, access controls, and reporting
- Monitor and maintain the data backup system
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on all network and computer systems
- Maintain network security through appropriate access controls, backups, and firewall policies; detect and prevent system interruptions and breaches
- Manage IT inventory
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in computing and networking technologies
- Document all technical procedures and user guides
- Provide technical support and assistance to network users
- Other job-related duties as assigned
- Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role
- Solid understanding of network protocols, topologies, and infrastructure
- Experience with network management tools and software
- Familiarity with network security practices and procedures
- Solid experience with enterprise switches and firewalls
- Basic experience administering Windows domain networks
- Basic experience with cloud computing such as AWS or Azure
- Basic experience with Hyper‑V and VMware
- Experience working in a data center
- Passionate about IT
- Strong oral and written communication skills – clear and effective in team environments and with non‑technical users
- High degree of initiative, proactiveness, discipline, and attention to detail
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving needs of a fast‑paced organization
- Associate degree in network or systems administration, or related field
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in network administration or related fields
- CCNA or CCNP (preferred)
- Cloud infrastructure certifications preferred (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Solutions Expert (MCSE) preferred
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and/or carry computer equipment
