Information Technology Specialist

Santa Clara, CA (On-site)

As an IT Specialist at Anatomage, you will improve and support the company's IT infrastructure, provide technical support to all levels of faculty, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.

• Work on projects to improve the IT infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Monitor network performance and availability
• Maintain network security systems, surveillance, access controls, and reporting
• Monitor and maintain the data backup system
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on all network and computer systems
• Maintain network security through appropriate access controls, backups, and firewall policies; detect and prevent system interruptions and breaches
• Manage IT inventory
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in computing and networking technologies
• Document all technical procedures and user guides
• Provide technical support and assistance to network users
• Other job-related duties as assigned

• Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role
• Solid understanding of network protocols, topologies, and infrastructure
• Experience with network management tools and software
• Familiarity with network security practices and procedures
• Solid experience with enterprise switches and firewalls
• Basic experience administering Windows domain networks
• Basic experience with cloud computing such as AWS or Azure
• Basic experience with Hyper‑V and VMware
• Experience working in a data center

• Strong oral and written communication skills – clear and effective in team environments and with non‑technical users
• High degree of initiative, proactiveness, discipline, and attention to detail
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving needs of a fast‑paced organization

• Associate degree in network or systems administration, or related field
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in network administration or related fields

• CCNA or CCNP (preferred)
• Cloud infrastructure certifications preferred (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Solutions Expert (MCSE) preferred

• Ability to push, pull, lift, and/or carry computer equipment
