Technical Product Manager, Robotics (Med Tech)
Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap and platform backlog (feature intake, prioritization, grooming, readiness).
- Translate roadmap priorities into executable quarterly objectives and coordinated delivery plans.
- Drive end-to-end cross-functional R&D execution (track commitments, manage dependencies/risks) from concept through design transfer and release.
- Lead Agile planning/tracking/execution cadence (sprint planning/reviews/dependency management) to implement the roadmap (not as a dedicated Scrum Master/standalone PM).
- Partner with engineering, product, clinical, and functional leaders to align scope, priorities, and timelines; resolve blockers.
- Use data/metrics to guide decisions (delivery health, milestone progress, KPIs for scope/schedule/quality/risk).
- Provide proactive updates to leadership on roadmap progress, execution status, and risk/mitigation.
Education:
BS/BA (or equivalent experience) in engineering or a scientific field.
- Required:
10+ years product development; 5+ years in engineering/program/product management; experience with complex systems/dynamic teams; strong communication/interpersonal skills;
Organizational Change and Conflict Resolution experience; software and/or hardware development experience; ability to influence without authority; experimentation/problem-solving/critical thinking; independent, self-motivated, results-driven. - Preferred: new product launch experience; PM or Scrum certifications (e.g., FPX/PMP, CSM/PSM I/PMI-ACP); regulated industry experience (healthcare/aerospace/pharma/automotive);
Jira/Smartsheet/Airtable or similar tools; people management.
Travel: up to 25% domestic and international.
Skills (Preferred)Project Management Methodology (PMM), PMO, project reporting/schedule, R&D, technical credibility.
