Position Overview
Intermediate level role within a strategic marketing analytics team, focused on maintaining and improving analytical solutions, developing new ones, and providing data‑driven insights to support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Data & Communication: Serve as the go‑to person for updating financial and market models that blend complex, disparate qualitative and quantitative sources, align assumptions with key stakeholders, and present results clearly.
- Financial & Marketing Models: Build and maintain financial and marketing models in Excel to support data‑driven decision‑making and forecasting.
- Market Data Expert: Study quantitative data, apply business domain knowledge, formulate and test hypotheses, discover business implications, and understand how datasets connect with various business and market verticals.
- Communicate Insights: Translate data and business context into meaningful insights and concise summaries, ensuring audiences understand the story behind the numbers.
- Functional Knowledge: Intermediate to expert skills in ETL processes or concepts, familiarity with Excel, data visualization, design principles, basic statistical analysis, pattern recognition, and the ability to navigate large data landscapes.
- Business Expertise / Orientation: Understand how data supports strategic decisions in finance, marketing, and product management; be able to zoom from transaction‑level detail to architectural data pipelines and business processes.
- Leadership: Own projects, set timelines, guide stakeholders, champion data‑driven decision‑making, and leverage technology (data science/ML) to improve productivity.
- Impact: Provide data products, models, and insights that influence strategic initiatives across the organization.
- Interpersonal
Skills:
Explain complex ideas simply, ask questions, verify understanding, collaborate with diverse personalities, and maintain a team‑player mindset.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and marketing analysis.
- Basic statistics knowledge and critical thinking.
- Track record of building functional and user‑friendly data models and products.
- Clear and influential communication.
- 3+ years of analytical work demonstrating business impact.
- Advanced command of Excel, data wrangling/ETL, and data pipeline automation.
- Experience connecting datasets across multiple domains.
- Experience building production‑ready programs or apps using complex, disparate data.
Full‑time; employee type: regular; relocation eligible; no travel required.
