Job Description & How to Apply Below

Description

Privacy and trust are of utmost priority and are essential to deliver customer‑obsessed, privacy‑sensitive products. We are looking for a technology program manager to implement privacy compliance obligations and drive large, cross‑functional implementation initiatives for Amazon Shopping. You will partner with a large set of business and technical leaders to implement both processes and privacy tools to raise the privacy bar, evaluate new products and services to identify compliance obligations, and help design solutions to meet them.

You must be able to thrive in a fast‑paced, complex, and ambiguous environment.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Identifying and driving compliance to global privacy‑related regulations, policies, and customer promises across AI shopping initiatives.
  • Partnering with legal and other partner teams to implement emerging privacy‑related regulatory, market, or other compliance needs.
  • Creating clear guidance for developers and product managers to understand applicable privacy controls and steps to manage compliance.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with technical and non‑technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Scoping, planning, implementing, and delivering privacy programs while collaborating with engineering, product management, design, legal, business owners, and senior leadership to align with strategic vision and goals.
  • Owning successful delivery of large, impactful, highly cross‑functional program initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects.
  • Driving strategic cross‑functional planning, leading discovery and prioritization by closely working with product and engineering leads to develop privacy programs, including high‑level technical design, dependency identification, and resourcing plans.
  • Establishing metrics and regular reporting mechanisms for measuring results, progress, and gaps in performance and compliance.
  • Evaluating solution designs and complex business and technical requirements, and identifying and implementing simplifiers to accelerate time‑to‑market.
  • Communicating plans, status, and critical issues clearly and effectively.
  • Conducting deep‑dive privacy and regulatory compliance assessments.
A Day in the Life

On any given day, you'll be engaging with product managers and software developers to assess their features (and AI models) for privacy and compliance implications. You'll provide practical and technical guidance to ensure a high bar for privacy, interact with stakeholders across Amazon, and lead programs to strengthen our privacy posture and build customer trust. You'll help design, implement, and run an AI governance program that drives the responsible and ethical use of data in AI.
