Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Science Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, project management, and leadership, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex data projects from inception to completion. The Data Science Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the execution of strategic data initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage data science projects throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and requirements definition to execution and delivery.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and managing changes as necessary.
• Coordinate resources, both internal and external, ensuring that team members understand their responsibilities and are held accountable for deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project timelines, budget, or quality, proactively implementing solutions to address challenges.
• Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executives, team members, and clients, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and professional development.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and project management, applying knowledge to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, specifically managing data science or analytics projects.
• Strong understanding of data science concepts, methodologies, and tools, with the ability to engage technically with data scientists and analysts.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and influence cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Trello) and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau).
• PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications preferred.
