AWS Senior Technical Program Manager, AWS EC2, EC2 Nitro

Come work with us to create a collaborative, end-to-end experience for customers and entrepreneurs. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to track development from multiple software, hardware, and silicon development teams that create new EC2 platforms. You will lead cross‑functional teams to drive software development for new EC2 instance types and features from inception through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Responsibilities- Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact EC2 platform enhancements, guiding them through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Manage remote project delivery teams, facilitate technical whiteboard sessions, and remove barriers to project success.
- Establish trust with stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, and eliminate non‑value‑add activities.
- Apply core project‑management disciplines—including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management—to all phases of the project life cycle.
- Drive metrics and reporting, develop key performance indicators, and report progress to senior leadership.
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
- Master’s degree or advanced professional degree.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Background in Linux software/systems engineering.
- Experience working with offshore ODM/JDM vendors.
- Deep understanding of multiple project‑management methodologies.
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi‑million‑dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
