Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking Systems Engineers to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure, large-scale infrastructure environments. This team is responsible for building and optimizing systems that operate within highly regulated (IL5 / DoD-aligned) environments, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments supporting secure workloads
• Support IL5 / regulated environment initiatives, ensuring systems align with security and compliance standards (e.g., RMF, STIGs, NIST)
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve system performance, reliability, and deployment workflows
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and system management using infrastructure‑as‑code tools
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and support incident response efforts
• Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures
• Partner with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure ongoing compliance
• Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines and operational efficiency
• Support system integration efforts across distributed platforms and services
• Leverage AI‑driven tools and automation to improve system performance, monitoring, and operational workflows

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or SRE
• 3+ years of experience in a GCP environment
• Ability to work across several enterprise applications and workflows to improve the overall health of the IL5 environment
• Experience deploying and monitoring CI/CD pipeline
• Experience using AI to optimize development workflows
• Experience with in Fed Ramp or the public sector
